With global warming concerns on the rise, lawmakers are putting consistent pressure on the HVAC/R industry.  Recent changes brought down by the EPA are pushing the refrigeration industry to lower its global warming potential (GWP). High GWP refrigerations such as R22, R404A, and R507 are to be phased out of production. Refrigerants such as R448A and R449a have a 68% lower GWP over R404A, making it a viable replacement to fit the new regulations.
